This 7-day trip differs from the majority of our tours in that it begins in Mombasa instead of Nairobi.

You will fly immediately to Mombasa and enjoy your first day at the beach! Your safari adventure begins after you’ve spent the day lounging in paradise. The following morning, you’ll go to the vast savannahs of Tsavo East National Park. Here, you’ll spend two days on game drives, discovering African wildlife at its best. Who are the biggest stars? Of course, the Big Five. So keep your eyes alert and your camera close—these are the moments you want to remember forever. After this adventurous and wonderful journey, it’s time to relax again. Where is the greatest spot to do that? The gorgeous beaches of Diani.

Is it safe to travel to Kenya?

Many people travelling to the African continent have questions about safety. Is Kenya safe to travel to? Our answer is clear: YES!

Kenya is definitely a safe country to visit, especially for people going on organised game drives with private guides as you will do with us. There are definitely some places to avoid in big cities like Nairobi or Mombasa, but – as with all big cities – by taking some precautions, you’ll be fine. We advise, for example, to leave the hotel at night with a driver and not to go strolling around alone. Also be aware not to wear big and visible jewellery, and keep an eye on your valuables.

Arrival in Mombasa

As you exit Moi International Airport, your personal Africa Safari Trips driver welcomes you with a wide smile: ‘Karibu Kenya – welcome to Kenya!’. He drives you directly to your hotel while you soak in your first impressions of Mombasa’s bustling city. Mombasa is a dream location, with the ancient ruins of Fort Jesus and the white sand beaches of the turquoise-blue Indian Ocean. Your ideal holiday in Kenya has just begun!

Day 2 - 3

Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East National Park, with over 13,000 square km, is massive, spectacular, and has been around since 1948. Explore the Yatta Plateau’s vast savannah, home to big herds of red elephants, and spot some of the last remaining supertuskers and maneless lions. Listen to the famous story of the man-eating lions while keeping an eye out for an incredible variety of other animals, including dik-diks, zebras, giraffes, yellow baboons, cheetahs, African wild dogs, elands, gazelles, gerenuks, hyenas, jackals, and over 500 bird species!

Day 4 - 7

Drive to the South Coast and relax at the beach!

It’s time to relax by the ocean! After your final game drive in Tsavo East National Park, you take the road to Diani’s extended and white beaches, the ideal destination for beach vacations. Flight home from Mombasa (not included in the price)

This is your last day! Unfortunately, our driver will have to take you to Mombasa to catch your flight home from Moi International Airport. Sad to leave…? Then don’t worry! We can still add a few more days on those beautiful beaches or even add a few exciting safari days to your holiday!
