19 Kenya Bush to Beach Honeymoon

Dreaming of vast landscapes, iconic highlights, and unforgettable encounters with the Big Five? This is your moment. On this epic journey, you’ll travel through nine national parks before unwinding on the beach.

Your adventure begins at Ol’ Pejeta Conservancy, where you’ll spot rhinos and African wild dogs, before continuing to Samburu National Reserve for close encounters with elephants and the rare Samburu Special Five. In Solio Game Reserve, you’ll meet the grey giants once again, alongside a rich variety of classic African wildlife. With excitement still building, you’ll head to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its shimmering lake, spectacular birdlife, and—if fortune smiles upon you—tree-climbing lions.

Next comes the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, home to the Big Five and, in season, the dramatic Great Wildebeest Migration. At Lake Naivasha, hippos greet you from the water, while Amboseli National Park offers yet another chance to witness impressive elephant herds against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

To complete this extraordinary journey, you’ll enjoy final Big Five encounters in Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks before heading to the idyllic white-sand beaches of Diani Beach. This 18-day adventure is living proof that safari perfection truly exists.

Is it safe to travel to Kenya?

Many people travelling to the African continent have questions about safety. Is Kenya safe to travel to? Our answer is clear: YES!

Kenya is definitely a safe country to visit, especially for people going on organised game drives with private guides as you will do with us. There are definitely some places to avoid in big cities like Nairobi or Mombasa, but – as with all big cities – by taking some precautions, you’ll be fine. We advise, for example, to leave the hotel at night with a driver and not to go strolling around alone. Also be aware not to wear big and visible jewellery, and keep an eye on your valuables.

This is a private and exclusive safari designed to let you travel at your own pace. The journey is tailored specifically to you, exactly according to your preferences. Our experienced travel consultants ensure that every detail aligns with your wishes.

There are many benefits to this personalized experience. To begin with, you will travel in a private safari vehicle accompanied by your own dedicated guide. You have full flexibility to decide when to start your day and when to return, while still benefiting from your guide’s expert advice. Additionally, once inside a national park, you can spend as much time as you wish observing particular animals or herds, without feeling rushed. Finally, with a clear understanding of your interests, your personal guide will offer insightful recommendations, transforming your safari into a truly unforgettable adventure.

At Africa Safari Trips, we focus on designing journeys that are uniquely yours. When you plan your African adventure with us, you’re doing more than booking a holiday—you’re beginning a fully personalized experience. We take the time to understand your ideas and preferences and carefully shape every detail to match your vision. Our team works closely with you to ensure your trip is completely tailored to your expectations. For added ease and inspiration, we also offer a selection of our most popular African tours and safaris as a starting point for customization.

Absolutely! Kenya is also home to the iconic Big Five and countless other animal species. In short: wildlife galore. These magnificent creatures—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—can be observed in their natural habitats, making Kenya a top choice for wildlife enthusiasts.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a protected area dedicated to the conservation of endangered species. For rhino lovers, it truly is heaven on earth, home to more than 100 black rhinos, nearly 40 southern white rhinos, and the last two remaining northern white rhinos on the planet. These iconic white rhinos can even be observed from up close!

Beyond rhinos, the conservancy shelters other endangered species such as African wild dogs, oryx, Jackson’s hartebeest and Grévy’s zebra. It also hosts a sanctuary for abused and orphaned chimpanzees, making Ol Pejeta a remarkable haven for wildlife conservation.

Rhino trekking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Lake Nakuru National Park is a remarkable wildlife haven located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. At its centre lies Lake Nakuru, the park’s main attraction, where hundreds of birds gather along its shimmering shores. Once famous for its vast flocks of flamingos, rising water levels caused these iconic birds to move elsewhere. Fortunately, they are now slowly returning. Even without them, Lake Nakuru remains an outstanding destination, home to both black and white rhinos, giraffes, buffalo, lions, the occasional leopard and more than 400 bird species.
